Connecting with Grant Hughes through an ISC2 webinar was the start of a transformative journey for me. After an email exchange and ongoing conversations, Grant recognized my passion for breaking into cybersecurity and arranged an opportunity for me to volunteer at BSides Cape Town. This experience was invaluable, introducing me to some of the top professionals in the industry and creating connections I would never have anticipated. Grant also introduced me to the ISC2 Cape Town Chapter, where I gained access to numerous conferences and events that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. He invited me to join several masterclasses, which taught me critical skills and expanded my knowledge of certifications, career paths, and roles aligned with my strengths. The exposure I’ve gained through these events has been incredible.
